The Sound Effects in Guardians of the Galaxy really helped the movie by allowing the makers to use energy weapons to give the movie the sort of "futuristic" feel it was meant to give. It also helped because now the makers could change the sounds of ships flying to however the would feel best fit that specific type of ship. Soundtracks also help set the scene for the movie because it can change the tone of the entire scene. When the Dark Aster is descending towards Xandar, ominous music starts playing because the makers want to reinforce the notion that the big bad guy is here to ruin your day.
Visual Effects play one of the biggest roles in this movie in my opinion because the movie i supposed to take place across the galaxy and not every being in the galaxy will look like humans do. Some of these visual effects can be as simple as putting some makeup on someone to make them look pink, or adding completely adding appendages and features to the body. Visual effects also play a part in the environment as well as fighting between forces. A lot of the action that happens in the sky is just visual effect around the actor as well as much of the environment they are fighting around.

There are plenty of things that inspire people but I feel that i have the most diverse things for both of these categories. Most of the things that inspire me are the things that bring out the best in people. Some examples would be animals or the beauty of a misty mountainside. As well as anything that I can personally relate to on a very close level like games or the struggle of being almost completely alone. After the things have inspired me I make it my goal to make a complicated but at the same time simple drawing where every detail is stressed. The things I draw must be perfect in my eyes before they can even grace the eyes of others.
Some of the things that inspire me the most are my two dogs who have loved me all their lives and been there for me through the toughest times as well as accompanied me through the best. Whenever I get the opportunity to draw how I feel about them and how they make me feel, I will take it. Games also allow me to express myself as a creative person because I can show how tough an ice hockey player is while still skating gracefully across the ice. I can also depict the determination in a keeper's eyes when he has to stop a penalty shot. The eyes that read every part of the shooter from where the shooter's eyes are to the position of his foot and even where his hands are, just so the keeper can make that game changing save that he will remember forever. Video games are also an excellent source of inspiration for me. When the real world is so harsh and filled with people that enjoy knocking others down, video games provide a sanctum for those who struggle in the real world. Most adults may view video games as a waste of time and something that rots our brains, I view them as a whole new universe that I can access right in the palm of my hand. I can show the immense creativity that flows through every player when they play a complicated game or the dedication of a game designer that just wants to make the perfect game so people can see his genius at work. The internet has been evolving rapidly ever since it had been created, but some think it it growing too fast and making the world too small. Social Media is what I believe the catalyst of where this problem lies. While social media has its perks like being able to keep in contact with old friends or potentially even find some new ones, it also has its major downsides. It has taken the interaction of the world that used to make people want to go to public places and enjoy life as a part of the "living" instead of being sucked in on 20 different variations of social media and having no actual human interaction whatsoever. Secondly, social media has also allowed people to become more divided than we have ever been as a human race because while you are connected to everyone, you can still specify what you actually want to see so people naturally surround their virtual homes with people or companies that share their views. This leads to distrust and a social divide more defined than North and South. Lastly, it has allowed a whole new avenue of belittling and even warfare.
Social media has given us as a race unprecedented access and connectivity but with all this access and infinite connections comes a price, and seemingly this price is the human part of us. The current generation of kids and young adults are the biggest victims of this illusion of reality through their phones or computers. People would rather stay inside and see another picture of their friends or even people that they don't even know, for hours a time for reasons that I simply can't understand. They would prefer knowing that one of their friends just reached 200 followers than going out with their friends and experiencing the world. Social media has also become customizable to the point where if you don't like something or it doesn't fully agree with your views then you can just turn it off and surround yourself with views and ideals that parallel your own. This kind of selective information makes people believe only what the sources that they agree with tell them, even if it isn't true. This is partly the fault of the company that owns the social site/app for letting people get trapped inside of their own bubble. This kind of ensured protection for different views becomes a problem when people eventually are met with different views in the real world, because they can't just turn it off people will try and change the others mind to fit their own but because of the views reinforced by constant exposure, this only ends in fights, riots, and hate for fellow humans. In addition to all domestic grievances, social media has impacted the world of warfare and belittling. Because of social media countries have the potential to influence one another in discrete but still powerful ways. Even worse than that, terrorist organizations also have an unlimited amount of access to people to spread their views to and even plan attacks without having ever met the person in real life. Social media has also allowed bullying or belittling to run rampant amongst users. People can now say whatever they want to whomever they want with 0 repercussions as of right now and unfortunately some people that get abused in this way are affected on a personal level and can even develop depression or take their own life. All this said however, there are definitely positives to what social media and what it has given the world. It has made connecting people and findings jobs easier than ever which, in return, allows the economy to grow more efficiently. it has also allowed companies to market their products and people who wouldn't have ever normally meet, meet in person. Also, in order for the negatives to really have an impact on a people's lives, they need to spend an extraordinary amount of time on the outlets which most teens and young adults do. So clearly something needs to change when a generation would rather experience the world through a screen everyday than go out on their own. |
